The Captain of Winter's Gate is the victor of the local tournament held typically twice a year. The earliest entries go back to before Winter's Gate was a Barony. A listing of "Unknown" for the royalty is simply from that period. After January of 1984, Winter's Gate was a Barony, and all Captains and Hearts of Winter's Gate will show the Baron and/or Baroness at the time they were named with the title. Sometimes called "Captain of the Militia".
