Award/Recognition Descriptions -- The Rapier Champion of the Mists
"My Awards Go Jingle, Jangle, Jingle ..." -- Master Gerhardt von Nordflammen
Twice per year, at each Coronet Tournament, a rapier tournament will be held to determine the Rapier Champion of the Mists. The winner of the tournament will be invested at the next Investiture and shall hold the title for 6 months. During this time, it is the duty and privilege of the RCM to represent the Principality on the field and to encourage and promote rapier combat within the Principality. The RCM is responsible for running (or for arranging to have run) the tournament to choose their successor. The regalia of this position is a baldric. Some confusion with "Prince's Rapier Champion", etc. has been removed and all rolled into this title ...
If the new Rapier Champion does not already have an Award of Arms, then it may be granted to them at the time they are named Rapier Champion.
