The Banner Bearer is appointed by the Sovereign (or Consort), and will fight by the Sovereign's (or Consort's) side when both are on the field of battle. The Banner Bearer(s) is/are charged with the possession and maintenance of a banner, given to them by the Sovereign and bearing the Kingdom Arms. As the Banner Bearer(s) follow the Crown, so does this honor, and it shall be for the duration of the reign. There may be multiple Banner Bearers, particularly one for steel combat and one for heavy combat.
