Award/Recognition Descriptions -- The Order of the Mark

Membership in the Order of the Mark is given for excellence in ranged martial pursuits as practiced in the SCA (including: archery; thrown weapons; and/or siege weapons). This may include mounted or equestrian archery and/or thrown weapons.
Badge: (Tinctureless) A set of nesting scale weights within and conjoined to a mascle fleury at the upper point.
The badge for the Order which may be worn on a medallion or garb, banners, etc. As it is tinctureless, it basically means that both the background and the charges can be whatever tinctures suit the person using it.
Regalia: Two white vambraces or bracers.

The titles of Master or Mistress of the Mark carry a Patent of Arms by default in the West.
Created by the Board of Directors, established that the first offers could be given on or after May 1, 2025; with the first three (The Principals of the Order) being named to the order on or after June 7, 2025.

Variations on the Badge for The Order of the Mark
(Tinctureless) A set of nesting scale weights within and conjoined to a mascle fleury at the upper point.
Because no tinctures are specified, this may be used a) on any background tincture; and b) with whatever tinctures for the parts of the badge, that satisfy the individual wearing the badge. The third option shown here is done with the West Kingdom tinctures, as an example.
