The Heart of the Snows is given by the Consort to recognize those members of the populace who go so far above and beyond the normal course of loyalty, service, and duty that their deeds are vital to the Consort's ability to serve the Principality. Similar to the Queens Order of Maintenance, the award was created to honor the persons the Consort feels were vital to their ability to reign. It is not required nor even expected that this award will be given each reign.

This award is given by the Consort's hands, the token of which is at the discretion of the Consort but should include a heart in some fashion. There will be no more than two awards given per reign.
