Award/Recognition Descriptions -- The Order of the Golden Branch

The Order of the Golden Branch is made up of all those persons who have served as Bard of the Mists. The Bard of the Mists, during his or her year's tenure in office, shall be considered the chief of the Order and organize the activities of the Order in the teaching of bardic skills and the bardic traditions. The token is a piercework pendant of a "golden" branch (usually brass) hung with bells.As of November 7, 2015, Alfarr and Eilis made this recognition an armigerous award, meaning that if the recipient does not already have an Award of Arms, this recognition will include one. However, the current ceremony grants an Award of Arms to a new Bard of the Mists if they did not already have one, and that makes this change moot. It is unclear when this change went into effect.
