At West Fall Crown and Coronation:
Mercy Grym - Laurel, Cypher of the Gratia Coronae Domamir Vlatko syn - Pelican Vigilant, offered admittance at West Fall Crown, Baron of the Court of the West, Crown's Favor, Queen's Order of Maintenance, Queen's Cypher, Cypher of the Gratia Coronae.

Received the Cypher of the Gratia Coronae: Aasa Thorvaldsdottir, Alizan De la Fontaine, Angus Duncan Cameron, Edith of Swanesdale, Eilis ni Roibeard O'Boirne, Finna kǫttr Goðormsdóttir, Frederick of Holland, Hannah the Storyteller, Kean de Lacy, Khevron Oktavii Tikhikovich Vorotnikov, Moira O'Connor, Rivka of Shushan, Séamus the Shameless, Shimon Levi ben Yitzhak haKohen

At Mists Coronet Tournament and Investiture: Mercy Grym - Coronet's Favor; Rew Payne - Coronet's Favor, Stalwart Heart

Seawolf (Damir): The Mists had a coronet/investiture and have new royals. All court reports have been submitted and approved. He had a good lead on a deputy, but she's busy for the next 6+months.

Sable Swan (Moira): Cynaguan Coronet is coming, the first weekend in October. She is looking for volunteers for the event. She has a potential deputy.

Stellanordica (Caitriona): Oertha’s upcoming Principality court next weekend! (Sept 25-26). Their Majesties and the Prince and Princess of the Mists are expected to attend.

Tournaments – Oerthan Fall Coronet next weekend!

Winter’s Gate had a local event with a tournament on September 11, with Khevron leading for herald’s work.

The Barony of Selviergard demo’d at a local event in Houston, AK on August 21 – Margarita Catherine di Calvi and Bartram Sinclair served as heralds for the fights.

She is still seeking a replacement for Stellanordica, so please keep that in the "jobs available" listings! Now that people are getting together again, she hopes to try offering training and practice for heralds in the Principality, with the hopes of encouraging folks to take offices.

Exchequer (Damir): The College remains solvent. No updates since last meeting.

Matins (Edith): Deputy (Hannah): The submissions process continues. Matins has not had time to advertise for the administrative team she would like to put together to run the submissions process. This is still planned for the future.

Green Crown (Eilis): Fall Crown was an absolute festival of Court, with five being held -- one of which was a final court, coronation, and first court. While several heralds participated in more than one court, no herald was lead for more than one court. All court reports were submitted and approved. Saint Damir saved all of our sanities by providing court lists in advance, and by bringing printed lists to the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of the Western Gratia Coronae, an interkingdom award. Each kingdom was allotted 150 awards. Since this is not a continuing honor, it was not put into law.

Baldric (Gwenhwyfaer): Nothing has changed since the last meeting.

Brachet (Kean), Leveret (Ræv): Some commenting happened, but not as much as he'd like. Some of those letters were really big. He helped out a little with the last Virtual Heralds Point. After some learning pains, that worked pretty well.

Green Cloak (vacant): This position oversees Field Heralds for the Kingdom events (Crown tourneys, Wars, etc.). If interested in this position, please contact Vesper.

Green Trumpet (vacant): This position will oversee Town Cry (formerly called Duty Shout) and Heralds Point (information). If interested in this position, please contact Vesper.

Green Banner (Aasa): She participated again as a consulting herald in the latest Virtual Heralds Point, which was a great deal of fun, and has been continuing to consult online.

Unfortunately, she was unable to attend either Crown or Mists Coronet, the latter of which she had originally intended to bring the consultation table to. She will also sadly be absent from this meeting due to a schedule conflict and probably the November meeting due to travel plans.

The College's library remains safe in the garage at her house and gets used with some regularity. She is considering doing an Online Consultation Table on some sort of regular basis in order to be more accessible to our populace. Feedback and advice are welcome, including suggestions for the best platform to use.

Golem (Hirsch): Golem Herald has been the usual form of busy – mostly waiting for court reports and then a mad rush to get the data in.

With Crown and Mists Coronet just done, a very large number of reports have been processed. Along the way the Court Report form was enhanced a little, adding the option to put in more than 30 items for an individual report by clicking a button and adding 10 more ... (repeatable as many times as needed). This is useful for when the Queen or a Princess (or whatever) gives out a large number of Cyphers, Tokens, etc., and other (hopefully) rare circumstances. Fixed a couple odd little bugs found in the code (an issue with Prince Da’ud’s name for one of the pages, the apostrophe caused a bit of heartburn, luckily the fix wasn’t hard once he figured out where to put it). Otherwise, business as usual.

There is a NEW change for Court Reporting: if over 100 people are receiving the same award, there is now an option to attach to the court report, instead of adding each name manually to the form.

There’s a nibble by one individual as a possible backup person, but he’s not all that comfortable with more than basic code technique... (hopefully won’t be that much of an issue, but still). They’ll talk over the next few months.

Giric is a Scotts Gaelic given male name from 801-1000 and from 1101-1200. The site specifies this spelling of the name and the time periods indicated. Although this source is a draft source and the name does not have a hyperlink associated with it, the chart provides the name and its spelling to within dates permitted for the registration of SCA names. Additional comment from submitter: If the name must be changed, the submitter cares most about: Language/Culture: Scottish Gaelic or Scottish Norse given name from year 1300 or before; Meaning: Scottish Adjective byname meaning "Stout" (for approximately the same time period as the given name).
